My name is Evan Szewczyk, and I look forward to working with you!

I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the client, you. This is demonstrated through my practice of a client-centered approach to therapy. You are the expert on your life, and I am here to walk through your journey with you, as well as provide insight, encouragement, and interventions to help you reach your goals.

I have clinical experience working in a community mental health clinic, and have seen a wide variety of populations. Particular areas of clinical focus for me have been children with ADHD, as well as depression and anxiety in children and adults.

The base of my practice is built on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the interactions between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Aside from CBT, I also utilize humanism, family systems, emotion-focused therapy, and existential therapy. I also incorporate play therapy and art activities into my work, particularly with my younger clients. Beyond this, I strive most to create a nonjudgmental and supportive environment so that you can feel safe working towards your goals during our time together.
