Workers' Compensation Psychological Evaluations

I provide independent psychological evaluations for workers’ compensation claims involving mental health concerns. Evaluations may address diagnosis, the relationship between psychological symptoms and the reported occupational injury or event, treatment needs, prognosis, work-related psychological functioning, and return-to-work considerations when included in the referral.

Each evaluation is tailored to the specific referral questions and may include comprehensive records review, a structured clinical interview, and standardized psychological assessment. The quality and interpretability of the available information are carefully evaluated, and findings are integrated across multiple sources.

The resulting report provides clear, objective, and well-supported opinions that directly address the questions presented by the referral source. Any significant limitations affecting the conclusions are clearly identified. Opinions are based on the available evidence and are not contingent upon who requested the evaluation or a preferred claim outcome.

I bring more than 15 years of experience as a licensed psychologist, including over nine years conducting thousands of mental health disability evaluations for veterans. This experience has required efficient review of complex records, careful diagnostic and functional analysis, professional communication, and the timely completion of evidence-based reports.

Workers’ compensation evaluations are independent assessment services and are separate from psychotherapy or ongoing treatment.
